Kim Kardashian West is standing by her man — but still concerned about his recent outbursts.
A source tells PEOPLE that the reality star, 37, is doing her best to protect husband Kanye West since the rapper, 40, made controversial remarks on Twitter and in new interviews over the past week.
“Kanye is the most amazing person. But when he gets manic, it’s really hard for everyone around him,” the insider says. “Kim is absolutely worried about him right now, but she will defend him publicly to the end. She’s a very loyal wife, and her tweets and everything she’s been saying is definitely very calculated to help Kanye.”
Kardashian West defended her husband in a series of tweets of her own, arguing that reports labeling him “as having mental health issues for just being himself when he has always been expressive” are “not fair.”
The mom of three — Chicago, 3 months, Saint, 2, and North, 4½ — also appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week, where she brushed off her husband’s surprise return to social media.
“I didn’t even know he got his Twitter again until I started seeing tweets coming in from other people retweeting them. And I was like, ‘Wait, is this real?’ And then at night he came in and said, ‘Did you see my tweets?’ I was like, ‘Yes, I did see your tweets,’ and I followed him back,” she explained.
A source previously told PEOPLE that despite West’s tweet storm, “For the rest of the family, things are going on normally.” A second source also confirmed to PEOPLE that nobody — including his wife — has altered their “work” schedules.

She has to hedge her bets. God forbid her income which originated by being a slut with a “unauthorized” sex video release stop coming. The whole “K” clan is scum, who would of though Kanye would be the virtuous one.
She rationalized by saying he has mental health issues? With a wife like that, who needs enemies? How dare she? I hope he kicks her shallow, brain-dead, and superficial ass to the curb.
If she was a loyal wife, she would STFU and try to understand him - assuming that she disagrees with his political stance and his going public with it.
She is NOT a loyal wife, she is a publicity hound (among other things).

I for one would like to welcome Mr. West to “Club Deplorable”.
There is no need to carry all that baggage Mr. West.

I don’t consider his behaviour to be manic. He has made excellent points. He and I may disagree on many things but I think he’s doing a very good job of waking folks up

Well, he has stated that he has a “mental breakdown” last year although he called it a “breakthrough”. I don’t think her reference to it is anything but supportive. I’ve never paid any attention to any of them or their media antics, just responding based on what’s bee said in the last 10 days or so.
He is lucky if she defends him until the end of the Month!
Its all about her! If her “brand” is damaged, he is out of there!
It took the shows and her personal attorneys 3 days to come up the the response.

Kanye can be mental and a Trump fan at the same time.
He likes Bernie concepts, but he liked how an outsider swept the presidency.
Not quite sure what will happen with Kanye. He is on meds that he says does calm him, and Kim complains that it’s hard when he is manic. Probably so.
All can be true at the same time. I will place my bets on Candace Owens for being the distance runner, between the two of them. She kicked this off, but got overshadowed by Kanye’s fame when he defended her so sincerely.
Candace has none of the distractions of mental health and the Karcashin Family issues.

I disliked this guy quite a bit before all this.
But he DID say last year, I think, that if he DID vote, he would have voted for Trump. So there were signs.
Not that it matters AT ALL, but 50 cent was a Bush supporter and now he hates Trump.
Incidentally, he took the name 50 cent from a drug addict beggar in the neighborhood.

I’m frankly a little worried for Kayne and suspicious of anything named “Kardashian”. Maybe he was supposed to go “Jenner”, and this is a side-effect. I hope he doesn’t drink anything she’s already opened for him.
In CB4 Chris Rock "Albert" takes the name of "Gusto" when Gusto goes to prison and rises to the pinnacle of RAP. Then Gusto gets out. Funny movie if you haven't seen it.
I can see me not having seen it.
