LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — A woman accused of pulling a gun during a dispute at a child care center in Little Rock was arrested Monday.

Officers responded at 8:29 a.m. to King Head Start on Colonel Glenn Road after receiving a report that a woman in a Toyota Avalon had pointed a gun at another woman, according to a police report. Officers reportedly arrived and saw Deandra Young, 34, get out of a Toyota Avalon and run into the child care center with her hands in the air.

Police said they followed Young, handcuffed her and learned from a witness that Young had been carrying something in her waistband. Officers reportedly searched the building and found a .40-caliber handgun that had been reported stolen in North Little Rock.

A 23-year-old woman later told police that she and four other people were in a vehicle when she got into an argument with Young and Young pointed a pistol at them, according to the report.

Young, whose first name is spelled "Dandre" in certain court documents, was charged with five counts of aggravated assault, possession of a handgun on school property, theft by receiving and possession of a firearm by certain person.
