The tornado that hit Indiana a while back..the people who had walk out basements were the safest. They weren't trap and several were who were in regular basements. I always wondered how that would work in a tornado. Take care.

We have an area that has extra support that we use as a storm sleep area. We keep an axe next to the bed. One of my friends had a son who survived the Joplin tornado holding his baby daughter.

They lived in a split level and he crawled from the garage and under the house-the crawl space. The insurance company then paid for his hotel room till the house was replaced.
