Sounds pretty demeaning to Indians. I’m half cherokee, and proud of it. I’m also proud of this country and realize what happened, happens. No need to degrade us.

I think he was just joshing.... Check with him, but IMHO he was joking, and not being disrespectful. Of course natives did not speak European languages until the Europeans got here, was the meaning I took from it.
