Found a link to a website on a thread here on FR. The website listed Tea Party events taking place, showed some in my area. That was early 2009. Not sure who did the web site.

I did see angry mobs later that year, movement was called AWS.

I remember getting out with some other Freepers and a pretty good number of other people and Demonstrating to get Gore out of the VPs quarters after the 2000 election. Not sure who organized it, but I read about it here and went. Don’t think it was the Republican party.
