Almost Everyone is a shill for someone these days. Webb was a Bernie supporter, so I don’t usually pay attention to what he thinks is a good solution.
I was more interested in the rat line information that was revealed, not in the solution. As well as the interesting theories on locations of various places for production.
Mattis has said that there will be no solution to the Middle East until Political Islam is defeated. He has also said that will not happen until Iran is taken care of. So I find any discussion of varies sites in Iran to be interesting.
Trump undoubtedly has the same general “Art of the Deal” approach to Iran in mind as he has had with North Korea, China, The Israel and the Palestinians, etc.
That is to go in strong with both the carrot and the stick. Be willing to get tough militarily, but offer such a good deal on a larger-thinking, expanded basis that the deal partner opts for the carrot rather than the stick.
I’m pretty sure that’s what he’s working on now with Iran, so it will be interesting to see what he can come up with.
