An external blog would be another alternative, where you would have total control over what you post and what comments you would or would not allow (if any).
That does take some extra work to set up though, and I am not privy to how exactly a blog should be created and hosted.
You could occasionally start a thread with a link to your latest blog post (presumably, a collection of FR posts with or without interpretations) and let the chips fall. The comments on the FR post might be a PITA, but they would be separate from the blog, and you’d have some people reading the blog.
side note - looking out back, the squirrels have been busy, it seems, as there are a few very small squirrels roaming around in the yard this spring.

I did not see a single squirrel at our bird feeders this past winter. We live in a wooded area, and usually there were more squirrels than birds gouging themselves on seeds.
