When a woman dining at a Waffle House refused to pay 50 cents extra for plastic utensils, she ended up tackled on the ground by Alabama police officers,(snip)
A day after bailing out his stepdaughter, Lamar Howard told ABC News he is proud of his daughter's restraint, and had he been with her he wouldn't have been able to control his emotions.
"I would have gone to jail first," he said. "And I might have ended up shot or dead.
Chikesia Clemons, 25, who goes by "Kiki," sat down near the front of the restaurant, and is then shown on video shot by a friend being aggressively taken to the ground by two Saraland police officers, who pulled on her clothing and exposed her chest.
Clemons' father said that his daughter had dined at the establishment a week before and was given plastic utensils for free.
"Kiki was there with her friend and they had no problem being given the plastic," he said. "That's why when the lady made a big deal about it and said it was 'an extra 50 cents' they complained."
Clemons also asked for Waffle House's corporate phone number so she could call and lodge a formal complaint, shortly after which the situation turned hostile, Howard told ABC News.
(snip)
"I'm sitting here, and you're talking crazy to me," she said, as the cop began to grab her arms. "You're not going to grab on me like that. No."
From here, the friend recording on her phone said, "Come on KiKi, let's just go outside."
As the cop continued to try handcuffing Clemons, another officer appeared.
With her top down, revealing her bare chest, Clemons yelled at both officers: "What did I do? Why are you doing this to me?"

I missed that. Spell check will pass both promoted and prompted, so the only answer is another “pro”: proofread!
Never been to one out west. I think it’s a southern or east coast company. If I ever see one, I’ll be sure to avoid it.
This will be turned into a racist thing, with the usual “, who is black, “ phrases inserted into the story where they don’t belong.
The parking lots at most of them - at certain times of the day - are FULL, and, at times you have to wait for a free booth/stool after you get inside.
They’re a good restaurant, serving exactly what they are intended for...quick, greasy, comfort food. Some of the best burgers around.
Breakfast anytime of the day.
I like it.
There’s info out there that makes this whole article fake news. But, just like Trayvon and Michael Brown, the main stream media will continue to act as though the initial hysterical report was true.
Waffle House is usually clean with an attentive staff and you can see your food being prepared. Plus, the food and coffee are pretty good.
And, Mobile County has a plethora of that kind of lawyers.
And, Mobile County has a plethora of that kind of lawyers.
I don’t rightly know.
Just repeating what was reported by a FReeper on one of many threads here yesterday.
Apparently, said FReeper lives in a state where there are Waffle Houses.
I’m guessing that the .50 covers the fork and knife, along with the cardboard box to take the food home.
Never been in one. Never seen one. We don’t have them in Minnesota.
Are the Waffle House customers charged for napkins too?
Dude.
You live in Gilroy?
We should meet.
Ever go to 1st Street Coffee?
One can go to chicken licken or McWhopper or any other slop joint and no one is charged extra for utensils, napkins, salt, pepper, ketchup etc...Very odd.
I’d bet the company is failing or just greedy or was taken over by foreign nationals who’ve also bought up most slop joint franchises.
Like I said, I’m going on a Freeper’s report from down south.
I’m going off what the article says.
Btw, read some of the horrific review regarding Waffle House. It took me 2 seconds to find this one. And there are a whole lot more.

10% Service Charge for Takeout?!
I’ve eaten here before and rate the food as ok. Waffle House is Waffle House, and I’ve eaten at a lot of them. They’re all more or less the same. Some a little better; some a little worse. I stopped by recently and order 6 plain cheddar/jalapeno biscuits to go. When I paid, I was charged a little over $9 but the biscuits were only $1.30 each, $7.80 + tax, right? I inquired as to why the price was higher. The cashier said they have a 10% service charge on takeout orders. I asked why and the cashier couldn’t give me a good answer, stumbled around a little, and said “I just work here”. 10% for takeout is a ripoff! With takeout you don’t even mess up a table, no coffee refills, etc. I don’t think a plastic bag and paper wrapping on the biscuits was worth 10%. I’m not cheap! I just don’t like to be ripped off! Think about it! McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Hardee’s, Arby’s, etc. don’t charge extra for takeout. Why should Waffle House? There, now! I feel better! And I’m not even into writing restaurant reviews!
I go there pretty frequently but I’m currently moving to Campbell.
Wow, she’s gorgeous. Personally, I’d give her anything she asked for, up to and including the keys to my car.
She should have gone to jail. Also those utensils cost money. Dumb .
Funny.
I over by Good Sam often as well.
Post on...
Shit! In California they put the utensils out for you to take for free in take outs, even in the low class sit down restaurants. Assholes in Alabama charge for plastic utensils? That’s beyond cheap and 50 cents for 2 cents worth of plastic is insane.
Looks like someone injected something straight into her @ss and cut out the middle man.
