It’s been my observation that in most public/tourist areas of China there is no shortage of police on the ground. Guess they wanted to see some hopping too

3,000 years of cultural development in action, folks.

Worked with a Chinese guy. Told him I was heading up to my deer camp for my annual hunting trip. He said ‘no wild life in China’ (I assume he meant anywhere near population areas). ‘We kill and eat them all’.

It’s a cultural thing. Not a good one, either.
Around 1900 we took stock of the wild game situation in America which was awful, and decided to regulate hunting. It worked out pretty well

How Chinese industry and society work: “I say jump, and you say, ‘How high?’”

China has a history of animal cruelty which PETA never complains about.

You can tell a lot about a culture and a country based on how they treat animals and prisoners. China is an abject failure for both.

I’ve been to five Chinese zoos, and every one of them was the most miserable thing I could think of.

Wuhan: The panda lay on an elevated pedestal in an 20’ x 20’ enclosure, so motionless you could hardly see it breathing. It’s eyes said, “Kill me, please.”

Jingzhou: Some giant tiger (Siberian?) pacing circles in a 20’ x 20’ cage, never stopping. I’ve heard that’s how you can tell when they’ve gone crazy.

Don’t even get me started on Beijing, Shangain or Shenzhen.

Meanwhile, the media tells us daily how superior they are. They’re so smart, their kids are so well behaved. Total crock.
