Apart from the beings commonly known as “people” please give examples of other such species.
Both the Masai and the Mandinka (aka Mandingos) are known for being tall, with the women being over 6 feet and the men close to 7. There may be other tribes as well, with ancient historian Pliny the Elder recording a particular Ethiopian tribe that was known to be 12 feet tall.
On the other HAND....PYGMY ?
I've seen the Masai...up close and personal...in Tanzania and Kenya.I certainly ain't no scientist but I'd classify them as "people"..."homo sapiens".
Pliny the Elder wrote fiction about "Aethiopia" - which was shorthand for anyplace south of Egypt. There weren't people 12' tall.
Pygmies - average height around 4'6" among males
But that's not a species differentiation -- there's huge height variation between Nederlanden and Sicilians, but are they of different species? No.
Or between a yorkie and a Great dane, but they're the same species, Canis lupus familiaris
