Also, one anon has posted there that the salvation army is dirty. Anyone here have info on that? I’ve always thought they were ok.

A few years ago tornados hit a town close to me. The salvation army showed up within a couple of hours. They had food and clothing. My friend said she and her family will forever be grateful.

I once went there to give a donation that Humana chipped in half..the guy was in tears saying a lady(whom was leaving as I arrived) need diapers and food for her baby. He kept thanking me and assured me he could now provide her that day with help.

I worked with the Salvation Army during the flooding of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers, They were there 24/7 and appeared to be the top dawg in disaster management. I would be quite surprised if there were anything dirty in that organization. They worked harder and longer than anyone else.
