In general, math classes teach that 3.14 is a close approximation of 3 1/7 = 22/7. So I think I would make your comment a bit differently. 3.14 is an approximation of 22/7 which can be carried out to infinity and come ever closer to the value of 22/7, which is in and of itself an approximation of the value of pi. Don’t worry about it. When the Democrats next get control of the government, the new curriculum will solve the problem by decreeing that Pi is equal to 3. . . Or 4, whichever you feel you’d like it to be.
