My cat wants out so bad! Too many boogers out there for her though. Coyotes already got one.

” She just brought me, unharmed, a baby rabbit. The animal kingdom is hard to understand at times.”
She is trying to teach you to hunt. She brought you an easy one to catch.
To: Lisbon1940
No, she had one but she got rid of it. Amazingly this baby had not one mark on it. Will let it go in the morning.

Does the cat have any maternal instincts? Maybe she needs a pet kitten of her own or to raise a little bunny.

Cute! I live in an old brick house...1800’s....and mice make their way in now and then. My small dog and cat work as a team catching them if they see one. It may take hours, but with great patience they wait it out. Its funny to watch....I get it with the cat, but not the dog!

My vet said collars & Bel’s can be dangerous for cats that go outside because they can get hung up on brush & strangle.

One evening the cattle dog and the feral cat teamed up against a small rabbit. The cat was stalking for the kill, and the dog would run around and cut it off if it tried to get away.
The dog was making so much noise that I came out to see what was going on.
I grabbed the cat and told the dog to go in the house. I kept them both inside long enough to give the bunny a chance of getting away.

Make sure you get the baby rabbit the right food. It has to have special supplements from the mother (or elsewhere), otherwise it will not be able to digest any food you give it, and will die.
You’ll need Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR) or goat milk; and maybe acidophilus.
Check the NET for details.

“She just brought me, unharmed, a baby rabbit. “
I’ll be damned———dear kitty has a maternal instinct.

Copy that. You’ve got a great cat. My little buddy died last year.
