Look at it this way. If the law is vague (ie, not spelled out clearly), then any time a legal immigrant is tossed out because of commiting a crime, the ACLU and every commie pinko pro-immigration group in the US will hammer the courts with mewling and puking cases and clog up the works.
Congressvermin need to make it crystal clear who gets booted out.

I totally agree that Congress needs to make crystal clear laws. Just like I’ve been saying for decades that Congress needs to make it clear that the unborn babies are people. Don’t hold your breath.

If the court had upheld deportation for burglary, it would have settled the issue. No where else to appeal. Now, since Congress won’t act, indeed, the courts will be clogged with people taking advantage of the so called vagueness to see what else they can get by with.

Just my opinion. YMMV - Me I’ll stick with Thomas.

I disagree. If SCOTUS upheld this, then only legal immigrants with TWO burglaries would get the boot. One burglary would mean court case after court case.

“Legal” and “commonsense” are often not congruent.

The law needs to be fixed and after the midterms it will be.

A lot of congressvermin are leaving! hee hee - room for some good guys and gals.
