There is one reason that people have talked about and suspect/expect Trump to fire Mueller.
All of those people, including people in congress and in bars everywhere and on TV/radio/printed-press and at home, KNOW that Mueller has NOT FOUND anything regarding Trump/Russia collusion, and all of those people ALSO KNOW that, Mueller has strayed from his original assigned task, ans is now only working to do the REAL JOB which the democrats and the anti-Trump crowd wanted all along, ans that is, to get Trump out of the White House at any cost and for anything.
Those democrats and otherwise anybody-but-Trump crowd, have known for over a year that the collusion charges were completely fabricated, but they went along with the special counsel for the sole reason of removing Trump from the presidency at any cost, no matter how long it took.
Trump should go ahead and fire Mueller, for the simple reason that, Mueller has done his job already, and that is to find that Trump is not guilty of any collusion, and that Mueller has taken on the completely different task of getting Trump out of the White House.
People will talk about how the president might fire Mueller, but they all know in the back of their minds that, Trump would be right to do so.
Great article. Thanks for posting.
Trump needs to get this stopped but he should follow the proper legal steps that allow him to do it in the proper way. He could also use this as an opportunity via the bully pulpit to expose the sham that has taken place, e.g. get off defense and get on offense.
If Trump handles this correctly I think he will be fine. But he needs good legal advice and needs to handle it properly.
It has nothing to do with attention span.
It has everything to do with the fact that these people are delusional, ignorant of the rule of law, ignorant of the will of the people...and just plain damned stupid in their insistence that some sort of constitutional crisis is about to occur, which means this is just more of the same old crap.
I read it, but it's nothing that impressed me in any way.
I'm tired of Mueller and his damned fishing expeditions and I'm damn tired of being told that I voted for Trump because some stinking ass Russian convinced me that I should.
If this is all they have, then why the hell are we not demanding Sessions, Rosenstein and Mueller resign, now, immediately?
If Trump fires the damned lot of them, I'll go to Washington armed to the teeth to back him up, if that becomes necessary.
The back lash is coming...and it's going to be severe, if the people ever wake up and finally realize the crap sandwich this bunch of a-holes are trying to feed us.
Enough is damned enough!
In all this Session’s disloyalty to the man who made him AG is just stunning. He stands by while Rosenweasel orders a raid that shreds Trump’s Attorney Client privilege looking into a possible payoff to a woman. By any stretch it goes nowhere near the parameters of his idiotic recusal. Sessions with one firing Sessions could remove the rope from Trumps neck. It may be the worst betrayal I have ever witnessed.
You should apologize only because I read this hysterical nonsense.

You’re a better man than I. From the get go, this garbage started out with stuff like this....
“Even though Trump’s 2016 campaign was marked by a contempt for the rule of law and bursts of actual violence...”
Then it got worse. I would not finish reading this liberal wet dream pack of lies.
Fresh out of time.
The average American is so retarded that a Trump massacre of all of his enemies won’t even be remembered 3 months from now.
Time to STRIKE!
I stopped reading after the first paragrpah...reading it felt like I doing LSD...no thanks.
Couldn’t have a Congressional vetting of Obama or any mention of his lack of NBC because it would cause a constitutional crisis. Can’t fire Mueller the swamp creature because it would cause a constitutional crisis. Funny how every imaginary constitutional crisis would benefit conservatives.
I am astonished by two things -
The group think on the left, which I’ll get to in a second and
The lack of fight on the right. We should all be in D.C. this weekend filling the mall from the Lincoln memorial to the blocked off Capitol steps.
Regarding group think, it is a powerful emotional bond between the liars and the weak minded dupes.

Yeah, a real constitutional expert =>
"Matt Taylor was a staff reporter at his hometown weekly newspaper the East Hampton Star, and has also written on the internet for magazines like Slate, Salon, the Daily Beast, the Atlantic, Tablet, the American Prospect and New York."
I don’t have a short attention span but it’s obviously a hit piece filled with hyperbole. I’m not wading through a sewer looking for tidbits of wisdom.
I stopped reading right there.
Let’s be honest the left cares far, far, far more than we do.
We will do nothing but post.
The $54,000 question?
Whatever happened to the $64,000 question? Deflation?
I think the best approach would be ask Sessions to fire Rosenstein.
Then fire Sessions.
Your “expert” sounds like a full blooded lefty =>

Trump won’t fire Mueller. The Mueller investigation was launched at the insistence of congress. The impeach Trump crowd in congress were calling for investigations 24/7 and Trump had no choice but to instruct his DOJ to hire Mueller, someone who would satisfy the impeach Trump crowd. If he hadn’t done that, there were other worse alternatives being threatened and Trump picked door number one. I think it was the right choice but we’ll never know.
Because of the way it was born out of the threats of congressional leaders, there are only two ways this investigation can be put to rest:
1) Mueller says he’s finished, gives his report to congress and they are satisfied. Unfortunately, Mueller doesn’t seem to be the type of bureaucrat to ever reach the conclusion that his investigation has outlived its usefulness.
2) Congressional leaders increasingly call for it to come to an end because the American people are fed up with what is obviously a political witch hunt, a huge waste of taxpayer money, and an obstruction to the efforts of a duly elected POTUS.
I was glad to hear Rand Paul say this the other day. If enough people call their Reps and Senators and express outrage, they will begin to echo Paul’s lone voice of reason. They may not want Trump to succeed but if they hear enough from us they will see the writing on the wall.
But it has to be done that way - Trump simply cannot initiate the termination of this investigation. Period. It would be throwing gasoline on a fire. He knows it too. He’s got to wait it out - the only thing we can do is complain to congress and/or vote them out of office.
It’s congress that started this investigation and only they can stop it.
Explain why you charcterized this lefty as a “legal historian and constitutional expert”. (see posts #31 and #37)
