26 year old Yonel Hernandez-Velasco was simply skipping and playing with a 3 year old he doesn't know, while carrying handcuffs, coincidentally in a direction away from his family, and quickly. It's a different culture. We are evil and intolerant for not understanding. We should be ashamed for interrupting their adventure together. The father will be arrested for battery shortly.

As others have noted on this thread, Auburn and Placer County, extending from Sacramento County through north Lake Tahoe to the Nevada state line, is one of the most conservative areas of California (quite a few State of Jefferson signs and banners about.

However, the "progressive" cancer is beginning to invade from the west as the Leftists living in Sacramento flee from the mess they have created there and to spread their warped utopian "ideals" to the extensive "normal" areas of the state far from the coastal blight. It's truly sad to watch ... but resistance to the "progressive" cancer remains strong in many areas of Placer County.
