The Pittsburgh Penguins and Vegas Golden Knights will be looking to make history when the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs begin Wednesday.
The Penguins, who are trying to become the first team to win three straight Stanley Cup championships since the New York Islanders from 1980-83, will host the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round at PPG Paints Arena (7 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports). Another great playoff game!
Ovi gets his win and the series will eventually go back to DC.

Ditto that! This would make a great movie ala “Seabiscuit”. (Just hope they lose in the final against my Pens)

The Golden Nights, like the Sharks, Pens, Jets and Preds smother the opposition with relentless forechecking. The west teams play a completely different game, other than Pens, and to a lesser extent, Boston. Caps, Lightning, Leafs, CBJ etc. will wither under that pressure if they are lucky enough to advance that far.
Pond hockey season is over.

We are so lucky to have so many future Hall of Famers in Pittsburgh.
It’s like watching artists painting a masterpiece on ice.
