Too bad the civil war didn’t happen until 1860, when southern democrats rejected the election of 1860. I wonder what happened with tariffs between 1839 and 1860? Hmmmm.....

I’ve read quite a ways into that story, and I mean to finish it, but I keep getting distracted. I have too many irons in the fire. It is very well written.
