First, a diagnosis takes a PE, and there was none.
Second, statistics do not apply to individuals.
Third, they are not mutually exclusive.
As I recall, kuru, the disease stemming from cannibalism in New Guinea, resulted from ritualistic eating of human brain. Prions, the supposed vector of kuru (and a number of other diseases like Mad Cow Disease) effects neural tissue and ultimately concentrates in the brain. The progression of the disease would perhaps be slower if one ingested non-neural tissues as compared to brain.
So, if Hellary has kuru, the disease may have a longer incubation period if she just nibbled around the edges versus diving into brain soup...
