Was W’s black eye a result of him passing out, from choking on a ‘cracker’? That was so weird, when it happened.

I read somewhere awhile back that the Chinese mafia would give you a black eye as a warning if you failed to do as told or something like that. The black eye was a warning. Then, if you still failed/crossed them, they would remove the eye. (Harry Reid?)
I think it was always the left eye. Notice in those picture it’s the (almost always) left eye? What are the odds of that? If these were random accidents, shouldn’t half of them be the right eye?
