Almost, sit not every, county sheriff is ELECTED. The State cannot summarily remove a sheriff.
Those local patriots should defend the sheriff, both physically qnd rhetorically.

A good sheriff could also gathering around him like minded individuals. Sadly, our good sheriff got voted out and now we have a do-nothing dirty sheriff.
Tricked the public, the two newspapers in the county are run by commiepukes, and ran lies and propaganda which was totally sickening.
