Quite frankly I read the article as showign positives about America -- let's be blunt there was anti-semitism in the USA before WWII - but it was eliminated after the 1940s - by the people of the USA themselves. The MeinKampf is freely available yet people also know that anti-semitism leads to a descent to evil

The USA has nothing to be ashamed of for its past where people may have verbally dscriminated againstJews or blacks or whatever, what matters is how people learnt -- the greatest generation may have grown up with some prejudice to hispanics, Italians, Jews, blacks etc. but they overcame it - that's another aspect that made them great, growing beyond the circumstances you were raised in
