Actually SC -- check the link -- it is NOT being equated in any way with the holocaust. It just talks about the "casual anti-semitism" that was in parts of America in the 1930s and earlier and how it affected the lives of Jews in teh army (like separate services etc.) - but the key points I read in it are that:
- These are verbal or inconveniences - bad, yes but not violent or physical
- They pale compared to what the nutzis were doing
- they disappeared the moment we found out where such "casual anti-s" led
