In 2002, I built a great room for a library. One and a half walls 24X8 for books. Half are WWII. I never thought I would fill it. Well, books are piling up again.

The same here. Though I realized that to fully understand WWII I needed to understand WWI - especially the Eastern front
And to fully understand the great war I needed to understand the partitions of the Polish-lithuanian commonwealth, the awakening of nations, the set-up in the Ottoman Empire (milets etc), the creation of nations with forced Franconization, Anglicization, Germanisation, Russofication, etc.
A lot to learn
