Wasn’t Alex Keaton from the show Family Ties the family conservative. Do you think they will try and bring that show back? ( I know he is ill, but the idea might be batted around in Burbank.)
The show is ok, the acting is a bit wooden, especially compared to the older episodes.
The “laugh track” (that’s a live studio audience laughing?) is bad - like horribly fake bad.
I washed my kids mouth out with soap... and more than once decided to “burn the nasty” out of their mouth with hot sauce (Tabasco). They didn’t back talk us parents again.
“Cant stand her. Never understood why people watched her the first time around. Ugly voice, ugly face, ugly demeanor.”
I understand why you would think that way. There’s something about her blunt, trashy fearlessness that seems so familiar to me. She reminds me of my aunt, neighbor, any number of women I’ve known throughout my life.
You have my sympathy.

Not anyone I knew, but her wordsand especially Dan's wordswere on-target. (For the times).
NOW I miss unplugging the TV. :-(
I didn't get that impression at all.
Everything about the exchanges between the generations seems to say "even though we (Roseanne and Dan) hold all the cards our life is still no bed of roses."
Which is actually more important than being political. Politics is downstream from culture, as Andrew Breitbart used to say.
I like that quote
“You have my sympathy.”
You can keep it
They will go after advertisers. It doesn’t matter what a show’s ratings are. What matters is advertising revenue.
