First Lady Melania Trump was on-trend at the White House on Thursday, wearing a chunky, oversized belt, a pencil skirt, and her favorite pair of suede stilettos. Melania Trump looked like she stepped off the runways of Milan when she greeted Stoneman Douglas High School student Kyle Kashuv at the White House in an oversized belt with a giant buckle and suede Manolo Blahnik pumps.
Oversized belts were all over the runways this season, especially at the Versace Fall/Winter 2018 show, which featured giant belts with decorative gold buckles.
Keeping her color palette neutral, Mrs. Trump wore a black turtle-neck sweater with quarter sleeves and a Ralph Lauren checkered skirt from the brand’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection.

Yep. MOBama wore them boob belts. And we mocked her to no end. Just because Melania is pretty is no reason to try and go for that look.
Obama belts always looked like they were just stuck on at the last minute and weren’t worn around the waist but higher. Melania wears hers around the waist and it actually goes with the ensemble

Melania’s just wearing an apparently stylish oversized belt, where belts belong, at her waist. She looks fantastic, but she’d look fantastic in anything. The infamous “boob belts” of Michelle Obama were cinched up underneath her breasts, I assume in the hopes of enhancing her chest. It didn’t work. She just has one of those unfortunate figures that happen sometimes. Usually, an ample derriere comes with an ample chest, but not always.
Ditto. I find it interesting that the more recent Republican First Ladies use their bully pulpit to concentrate on helping people - Adult Literacy, Education, Drug Use.
Dem First Ladies concentrate on controlling people - "You will use the medical system as I decree". "You will eat the School Lunch as I dictate".
Glad that the current First Lady is content to stay out of the spotlight, though I suspect that she helps more behind the scenes than the MSM would ever give her credit for. She's charming and smart, and speaks five languages. That's a real asset to the President.
Or a sandwich board, or a cardboard box or a brick wall.
And not only does she look her usual great, Kyle Kashuv got to hang out with her and POTUS at the White House! How great is that?

I completely understand Lee. But the First Lady will always be under public scrutiny and she has to go out looking nice, not wearing somel burlap sack.
