Your response prompted me to go back and look at the imagery. (I’ve had GE locked onto the island all day.)

To my eye there’s no indication of ANY shelter from the sun in and around that court. Seems to me players might want to take a break or two in the shade. I don’t know tennis protocol, though.

I just now noticed a white rectangular object that appears to be at the entrance to the court’s playing surface. Then I noticed these objects scattered all over the place with a concentration around the temple. They’re all the same color intensity...like something been ‘white-outed”.

Thoughts?

I’ve noticed those white rectangles also. I was guessing maybe benches to sit and think, but could also be ventilation for something below???

I use Google Earth Pro. Above the satellite image there are some icons. Click the icon with the clock and backwards point arrow. Use the slider to go back in time. Be sure to look at the 2/12/2013 image. There is a white square in the middle that has a shadow. There are 4 towers around the square and two of them have distinct shadows. That hillside has changed a lot over the years. Is this where the bodies are buried?

Cistern? Rain waster collection?
I stayed in St. Thomas and they had cisterns for collecting of rainwater.
