Actually, that’s not exactly true. Purple is still the correct liturgical color, but some Modernists have introduced blue for the reasons you mention. It’s not liturgically correct and most churches still use purple (the same vestments they use for Lent). I seem to recall Fr. Z posting about it a couple of times.

I’m talking about the Lutheran Missouri Synod.(I only know the colors of my church-sorry)..are we different than Catholic in the Colors?

BTW, I’ve been VERY active in the LCMS in getting rid of this confusing color change.
