It’s German. Translation is: "The ship's bell was used in a key scene of the Hollywood movie 'White Squall - Tearing Current'!"
So that photo is the one left aboard the "Eye of The Sea" after it was used to make the movie. . . There was another bell photo which showed the inscription along the "soundbow," the lip at the bottom of the bell, not on the "waist," the middle of the body of the bell, which apparently was from JFK’s yacht. . . If the attribution is correct at all, because we can find no picture of the bell on either JFK yacht bell.
That other photo with the quotation may be of the original bell that went down with the Albatross!
