The only reason we remember the Holocaust the way we do is because Ike made sure there were plenty of movies and pictures of what happened. There are few pictures of the other mass murders and no movies were shot.
No visual means that they have less impact.
It is why we remember the rape of Nanking (pictures smuggled out) and forget the Manila massacre.
You can read a number like 100,000 killed and it has less impact then the picture of a kneeling Chinese woman holding her baby being beheaded by a Japanese soldier.
Lincoln wasnt bad but it was Daniel Day Lewis movie
Death of Stalin.
Well worth it.
Realistic, yet humorous.
I so need to see “The Death of Stalin”.
Unique insight into what happened. Amazingly, they make some of it humorous.
Saw Death of Stalin today, excellent movie! Funny, you will definitely laugh, but it also conveys the terror of living under a madman quite powerfully.
There are so many careful stories about this guy. That make Weinstein look like a choir boy. People are still afraid of powerful men in Hollywood who might not be decent humans.

Ive seen them both too. Wild. Where did Tommy get all that $?
I watched Ryan after 20 years since I first saw it. Excellent.
You Might want to watch Patton, a bridge too far or sands of Iwo Jima. Anything but Combat. Jeeze. At least hogans Heroes was funny
Point taken. I believe there may be footage Of Khmer Rouge atrocities.
Never Again is a good motto for Israel. Wish more of their landsmen here an in Europe were as strong and determined.
I grew up watching ABC’s ‘Combat!’ and ‘12 o’ Clock High’ Tuesday evenings. One reason I liked ‘Combat!’ is that usually lacked humor, (except for comic relief, Shecky Greene) and ‘Group Hug’ happy endings.
I have parts of ‘Patton’ memorized. Likewise, ‘Sands Of Iwo Jima’. Had a uncle who fought there and survived.
Incredibly creepy link!!!
Im an airplane nut. 12 Oclock High was one of my favorites. Robert Landsing was the best actor but was only in it the first season.
Dad fought on Guadalcanal and Bougainville. He was shipped stateside before Iwo Jima. Luckily he got a nasty tropical disease from a mosquito. As a marine, and after he healed, they made him a guard at a naval prison up in Portsmouth.
He was about to be shipped back for the invasion of Japan when Truman dropped the bomb.
Dad never swore in polite company. War Is Heck he would say.
Elysium still stands out as one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. What was up with jodie foster’s made up accents?
Why do so many people think she’s a good actress?
Maybe she'd sprained her tongue somewhere.
Well, that certainly explains a lot ;)
Because the largest ones were all in the pursuit of Leftist Ideology.
Precisely
