Can teenagers save America? They've done it before (NYT Libtard rant)
NY Times ^ | 3/27/18 | Grinspan

This is the key to understanding youth politics. Young people cannot be truly selfish, because they cannot be permanently young. Youth is temporary, its gains are passed on. In the late 19th century, young people built institutions that helped protect 20th-century young people. The high school seniors marching over the weekend will hopefully make their schools safer well after they have graduated. If anyone should be choosing the issues in politics, it should be the young, for they “have a longer future to provide for.”

We’re still recovering from when they saved us in the late 60’s / early 70’s.

***WARNING***

NYT (Not Yielding to Truth) – 2nd Place in Trump's 2017 First Annual Fake News Winners AKA Second Biggest Liars of the Lying Leftist Media with TWO entries in the top ten

Don’t believe these Lying Leftist Media outlets that proved themselves during the 2016 campaign to be operatives of the DNC and intentional liars. They are presumed to be lying and we should presume what they publish is a lie. The presumption can only be rebutted with the outlet providing clear and convincing evidence they are not lying.

Why not post the TRUTH about the lies? You don't have to use the liar as the source to post a headline that alerts readers to a published lie. Use yourself as the source or a reasonably reliable source that addresses what the Lying Leftist source is saying. That way you have a headline and a source that your readers can reasonably rely on and they go away more informed about the lie AND the truth.

Quite possibly the DUMBEST thing I have ever heard.

I read that only 10% of the marchers were children, the rest were liberal activists

Complete insanity, it has already been shown that there was only a small percentage of the marchers that were “teens”.

“Young people cannot be truly selfish...”

Someone doesn’t know any young people, apparently.

Young people cannot be truly selfish, because they cannot be permanently young.

Logical fallacy. Young people are almost entirely selfish, despite the fact that they will age. Prescience and Altruism are rarities among youth. They are extremely short sighted due to their lack of experience.

Only in the fevered mind of the NYT is creating a police state “saving” America.

Shallow idiocy from the great purveyor of idiocy.

The Times ought to take a look at how the New York Regency test results have fallen steadily since 1900, before they turn the American future over to those who are incomparably poorer at intellectual pursuits than were young Americans of three or four generations back.

Patriots should demand they cover the story of what has really been happening to the mental competence of youth--especially in their own backyard.

People who think teenagers can save us haven’t spent enough time with teenagers (says this mother of a 16 year old and 13 year old).

No, they can’t be permanently young, but they can be (and likely will be) permanently immature.

Most of these snowflakes couldn’t find their way out of a closet.Never mind saving this country from anything of importance.

The public schools have really screwed up today’s “ children”.

Notice that the author emphasized only one time frame in American history when teens changed the world! What a shock. It was the Progressive Era. For the left American history didn’t begin with independence in 1776, but in the early 1900’s when Progressivism became a dominant political view!

Note my reply #11. I do not believe that the "muckrakers" in the Teddy Roosevelt era were teenagers; but the teenagers in 1900 to 1910 were a far more cerebral group than those in 2018. (And note the absolute absence of actually addressing the issues analytically, among those cutting classes to march around making very, very poorly defined demands.

This is not a generation of youth, for whom their parents can take much pride.
