I’m not hearing anything about Trump’s statement about the wall from anyone in the media or even talk radio. Has anyone heard anything regarding it yet?
Mike Gallagher is hinting around about it on his radio at this moment.
He apparently does not know what we know. Someone with a lot more savvy than me who can quickly point to the “letter” Trump sent to McTurtle and Ryan needs to fire that over to Gallagher along with some supporting text.
Gallagher has a big mic and is an always Trumper.
The notion that Trump would interpret the Omnibus Appropriations and other Acts so that funds for building the wall, in excess of the approx 1.6 billion appropriated (use of DoD, etc.) was at least a passing subject of Fox 'n' Friends this morning. I think Steve Ducey brought it up.
I generally don't watch the news unless something is breaking, and my catch of this was pure coincidence as I was tasked with "letting the dogs back in the house," which happens to be nearby a teevee I am not usually nearby.
The general tenor of the back and forth was "What do you think of this idea?" sort of thing. No definite assertion.
