IMHO no tax revolt because 50% of the people pax little to no taxes. The high earners who pay the most taxes are often progs. There’s no skin in the game for many citizens (or non-citizens). And even those that pay little to no taxes often are participating in an underground cash or barter economy where income is not reported. The system is, shall we say, imperfect.

True that when only 50% of the population pay taxes.

I would get so pissed at Bush when he bragged about fewer and fewer people were removed from tax liability. So for any tax reform, ask any of those no-tax payers what their opinion is of the system. “Well hell...it’s just great!” Try getting them behind any roll back movement!
