well you replied to me but I hope this wasnt directed to me!! Ikr?? when I was 17, Michigan had lowered theire ID to 18 just for one year! And was back up to 21 before I turned 18... But, I joined the service at 17 so was drinkin befor I turned 18 anyways on Base anyways!!
When I turned 18 the legal drinking age was 18 but changed not too long after.

I am an old fart and I agree. At 18, you can vote, serve in the military and DIE for your country, and go to jail as an adult.
My dad (who is 82) has a great story. Back when he was young, the drinking age was 16. So he went to his favorite bar one year, one he’d been going to for the past couple years, where he was on a first-name basis with the bartender.
His friends let the guy know he was there to celebrate his b’day so he asked him “How old are ya today, Jim?”
“Sixteen.”
