The majority of comments show people divorced from objectivity, assuming that McCabe did nothing wrong.
The firing of Mr. McCabe is another example of how our suppposed leaders disrespect the rule of law and service to country and the government.
I feel as though there are just not enough safety valves in the Constitution to save us from Trump's ever-apparent tyranny. In other words, Madison, Jefferson, et al set up a system to protect us from a domestic King George III, but even he possessed more human decency than this our home-grown despot.
This constant and consistent punching down, this naming-and-shaming of career civil servants who have literally done nothing but risk their lives to serve their country, I just can't stand it. People like Strzok, McCabe, Sgt. Johnson, Sally Yates. All of a sudden their careers are over and their families are media and alt-right targets because the President didn't like something
I further predict that McCabe will testify at Trump's criminal trial. Trump will be marched off to prison and McCabe will laugh all the way to the bank!
Trump's immediate midnight crowing about the dismissal of McCabe underscores the likely political motivation behind Mc Cabe's firing, Trump's unrelenting animus toward Comey for not kowtowing to his wishes, and Trump's vindictive and self-serving campaign to discredit the entire FBI along with this particularly long-serving official.
I estimate 90% of the comments are in this vein. The others notice that what McCabe did was perhaps criminal.
When the full extent of your [Trump's] venality, moral turpitude, and political corruption becomes known, you will take your rightful place as a disgraced demagogue in the dustbin of history. You may scapegoat Andy McCabe, but you will not destroy America...America will triumph over you.
We pretty much are two countries, two ways of life, at war with each other living in the same geographic space.
