What a great story. It’s open season on grey squirrels where I live in the sticks. The little bastages ate the wiring off my car’s transmission in the driveway. $400 and a trip through the junk yard on a miserably hot day. There is a groundhog too that thinks he is a cat, scratching on the patio sliding door. He could have been the culprit.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I only shoot the big fat ones that get up in my engine block.

If your car was made in the age of ‘soy in everything’, your cars wiring is insulated with soy wiring, making it bait for critters. I have a big problem with mice in the wiring of the plow truck for that reason.
