Even better (not mutually exlcusive) is when the children are wise to it. They are the future, and they ought to be pizzed at being used.
It’s as though the dumbing down of our children has been completed. I can’t imagine kids from my kid’s high school classes participating in marches, like this. I can’t imagine the majority of the teachers/admin supporting it, either!
I know social media has a lot to do with it....it’s ALL they see, 24/7, being touted on FB, Instagram, etc. Who wants to be the ‘uncool’ kid NOT joining in on what seems to be the popular thing to do (heck, even Hollywood ‘stars’ are encouraging them!)
I just don’t know what our (normies/conservative) best rebuttal means, to this manufactured virtue signaling, are.
Basically, the classroom is an exercise in how to NOT think for yourself, but rather how to participate in groupthink, in acceptable ways.
I'm not sure I understand you point here, but my reaction is to ignore it or ridicule it. Kids around here are avid shooters, and totally reject efforts to be disarmed. They view the people protesting as weaklings, kooks, followers, duped. I suspect this organized protest, like all the others, is an exercise in deception, "astroturf" to make a small movement look like a big one.
Most kids did not participate.I have 7 Grandkids in High school.One had 3 leave the classroom,one had no-one leave the classroom,the rest are in Catholic High School and they left their classrooms and went to pray for the souls that were killed and their Families in the Chapel.
