I'm not sure I understand you point here, but my reaction is to ignore it or ridicule it. Kids around here are avid shooters, and totally reject efforts to be disarmed. They view the people protesting as weaklings, kooks, followers, duped. I suspect this organized protest, like all the others, is an exercise in deception, "astroturf" to make a small movement look like a big one.
What I mean is....with social media shutting down conservative voices, left and right....how do we (normies/conservatives) refute the astroturfing nonsense?
Yes, you’re right.... in the south and in many parts of the country, kids are avid hunters/shooters, etc and reject the premise of this manufactured ‘outrage’. But....the rest of the kids, across the country, are feeding in to it and feeding it. How do we educate them, if our accounts are being closed/banned, MSM calls us racist, etc?
On top of that....where are the loud, conservative groups such as all of the Tea Party group PACs, etc, that would place ads in media, to refute the lies of the left?
I see a SPRINKLING of ads, for our side/rights, compared to the ads I saw in 2010 and 2012. Where are those....or ANY conservative groups....speaking out, standing up for our side and touting Trump’s agenda??
(Yet we have a Paul Ryan PAC paying for ads for the DEM, in PA???)
These kids are being terrified by their teachers. They feel powerless to do anything about it and they are a group that have been taught that demonstrations make things happen.
Give them something else to do. For example (I dont actually know anything about the group behind this movement but it seems like a good idea on the surface), there is a WalkoutUP movement. This is where kids run a campaign to include the kid who is always marginalized and befriend them instead.
Maybe this doesnt really do much but, it relieves that feeling of powerlessness and gives them that movement feeling which then takes the wind out of the antigun walkouts sails.
