I dont disagree. Travel by air just is the worst. I did it two to four times a week for years as a business traveler. Perhaps it will add ten years to my life because I learned how to bear every delay, bother, rude event, small terror, difficulty and aspect of poor service without letting it effect me. I had to use it. My job was a good one in other regards so I learned to ignore or deal positively with a lot of it.
United was one that was so bad I found ways to avoid them as a carrier.
We fly United, as it’s really the most logical choice, for our destinations, etc.
We loved Continental and were just sick when United took them over/merged.
We were on a flight, the day the deal was official. Flight attendants were NOT happy. They confirmed that United would be bringing Continental DOWN to its level, not the opposite :(
That’s exactly what has happened.
