No, no, noooooooooooo...the remake was not nearly as good as the original.
I enjoyed it; I actually saw that one first, THEN went back and watched the Robert Mitchum version.
What a great actor he was.
One of my favorite movies with him is “Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison”. “Anzio” is also good, and Peter Falk does a great job in that along with Mitchum.
