It looked to me like Damascus was already destroyed. Will it be rebuilt before being destroyed again?

It’s interesting to me, that God said he would make their enemies fight each other, but then reveals that at some point they will unite to come against Israel.

In Ezekiel 38, Syria isn’t mentioned. It also says when it id destroyed it will never be inhabited again. Those two things in mind, I think there is a local war (Psalm 83) followed by or coupled with the Burden of Damascus and ending with Ezekiel 38. At that point, Israel thinks her enemies are dead but her worst enemy is yet to come. I think the destruction in Ezekiel 38 precipitates the rebuilding of the temple by one who “guarantees” her peace through his devilish hiss.
