Credit some anon at 8chan. I found it to be fairly pithy, but have understood for some time how labels and platitudes can be used to divide. The vast majority of people are naturally sheep, dependent, and tribal. It's comfortable.
Personal independence and freedom are hard in comparison. Plus, a world that values personal independence and freedom depends on a moral people - and Lord knows how the devil works THAT to advantage.
