I wonder if Cohn was the pawn, or was it Blankfein? Cohn was in line as Blankfein successor before he resigned to work for Trump.

On the news, it seems that Blankfein was signaling he was a long way away from resigning earlier this year. His board asked him to set a date for retirement. They have a succession plan - choice of 2 people who are currently at the company.

Every one is wondering whether they will now ask Cohn to come back.
