Bored one day; wife and I went to see this; worst film I’ve ever seen!
Give me a rerun of Megaforce if I have to see an awful movie.
I haven’t been to the movies in years. It seems I’ve missed nothing.
They couldn't even be bothered to use a believable costume so they recycled the clunky outfit from "Creature From The Black Lagoon."
I saw the preview and just could not believe something so stupid looking was made into a movie. Cheap allegory of PC cliches, and of course won the Oscar.
Meanwhile, there were two decent movies I saw last year. Neither of them “conservative” but both well-made films about human-seeming people. The Florida Project, and Lady Bird (which is not about the Flotus in the sixties).
All the movies looked awful this year. I only saw one and it was dunkurk and it sucked bad. I didn’t see 3 billboards but would have rather had that win. I read the synopsis and just seemed better.
For a good, underrated movie about human/alien bonding I’d recommend the classic “Starman”.
Simple, clean plot, underscoring the traits that make us human. Plus, when they have sex at least the alien has human DNA.
