Nothing to follow so nothing to search out.... but imho the absence of traces still suggests some things since he did not have an electronic footprint.
He had a phone and it is anomalous that a kid with a phone would not leave a trail of some kind. For some reason the Sweepers wanted this kid to be anonymous.
Wonder if he is a milk carton kid? Modern day Caspar Hauser?
