I cheat every so often, like the big piece of my 70th birthday cake I usually don't indulge in. I savored every bite of it.
But I go right back to the low carb way of eating.
I don't refer to this way of eating as a diet. Sounds too challenging.
I just say it is the way I eat now versus the way I used to eat.
That is probably a good way to look at it.
If I want to control my blood sugar (and in my case it also helps control my resting heart rate due to a-fib) then I have to consider that this is the way it is and will continue to be.
