at FreeRepublic followed and believed in ‘quidam,’ a poster who claimed to know much about the Ken Starr investigation of Bill Clinton. We were all led to believe that Starr had serious dirt on Clinton, not an affair with an intern, but serious malfeasance in office. Freepers followed along and were sorely disappointed.

I just saw Ken Starr on TV on some kind of retrospective. He said they had indictments written up on Bill Clinton and multiple others, but in the end decided not to issue them. Too bad they didn't; could’ve cut off the Clintons earlier.

I still think Starr pulled back to stay alive. I think he was very pointedly seriously threatened—as well as his family—possibly every blood relative.
