SteveW, my first thought looking at this was of the witch in Hansel and Gretel that liked to bake kids in her oven. Then I had an even more sicker thought. The movie Sin City with little Frodo that lived on the ranch and ate hoors. Remember that one?

The second highest per capita....Florida at 0.00175. ..... a child in Virginia is about 2.67 times more likely to turn up missing than in second ranked Florida. Most of the states run about 0.0010, making Virginia an 4.67 to 1 outlier. The state of Maryland nearby to DC is also quite high on a relative basis at 0.00179.

ransomnote: Note that Gannet is located in McLean, VA (Fairfax County) and according to the disturbing article at the link, “Almost all the missing children were concentrated in Farifax County, Norfolk” and has high concentration of gov officials.
