If you watched videos of that opening ceremony it was obviously a lot worse than merely not enough talent, education or uderstanding of what they were trying to reinterpret. It was meant to be shocking, disgusting and horrible.

The loss of educational ideals, and turning education into mere indoctrination and propaganda, have led to puny ‘artists’ who don’t really know how to do anything else but shock and titillate. Big bang for little effort and intellectual investment.
