Some of the responses to the trolls are hilarious and I love them. But responding to them breathes life into them and is just another second of scrolling or reading that we can do without.
If we just don't respond to them, we can cut down on the non Q chatter. If they get no nibbles, perhaps they will get bored and wander off.
None of them are here to be convinced and I gave up trying a while back, as much as I would love to play. It's my favorite game.
My five cents.

We take turns admonishing others not to feed the trolls and turn around and feed the trolls ourselves anyway, the ones that REALLY get under our skin.
